Conservative Television Host Lou Dobbs Dies
Former CNN and Fox News Anchor Was 79
Lou Dobbs, the conservative television host and commentator, died on Thursday. He was 79. Dobbs' death was confirmed by his wife, Debi Segura, a former CNN sports anchor. The cause of death was not immediately known.
Dobbs was born in Childress, Texas, in 1945. He began his career in journalism as a reporter for the Dallas Morning News. In 1980, he joined CNN, where he hosted a number of shows, including Moneyline and Lou Dobbs Tonight.
Dobbs left CNN in 2009 and joined Fox News, where he hosted a show called Lou Dobbs Tonight. He left Fox News in 2011.
In recent years, Dobbs had been hosting a podcast called The Great America Show and a show on local radio station WABC in New York City.
