Ogunbowale Sets All-Star Scoring Record
Arike Ogunbowale of the Dallas Wings set the WNBA All-Star scoring record with 34 points, leading the WNBA All-Stars to a 117-109 victory over the U.S. National Team on Sunday.
Star Rookies Shine
Caitlin Clark, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2022 WNBA Draft, made the most of her All-Star debut, scoring 18 points and dishing out 5 assists. Aliyah Boston, the No. 2 overall pick, added 12 points and 9 rebounds.
The WNBA All-Stars took control of the game in the third quarter, outscoring the U.S. National Team 35-20. Ogunbowale scored 12 points in the quarter, including a pair of three-pointers.
The WNBA All-Stars held on to their lead in the fourth quarter, despite a late rally by the U.S. National Team. Ogunbowale made two free throws with 10 seconds remaining to seal the victory.
