In a highly anticipated matchup between two of the NBA's top teams, the Phoenix Suns emerged victorious over the New Orleans Pelicans in a thrilling game that ended with a final score of 123-113.
The Pelicans got off to a slow start in front of their home crowd at the Smoothie King Center. Phoenix took an early lead in the first quarter and never relinquished it, leading by as many as 15 points in the second half.
Despite being down for much of the game, New Orleans fought back in the fourth quarter, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Suns' hot shooting and strong defense. Devin Booker led the Suns with a season-high 52 points, while Brandon Ingram put up 29 points for the Pelicans.
With this win, the Suns improve to 7-3 in their last 10 games and maintain their position atop the Western Conference standings. The Pelicans, who have now lost two straight games, fall to 5-5 in their last 10.
The two teams will face off again on April 15 in Phoenix.
